LaHarpe Davier Health Care Center served 43 Thanksgiving meals on Tuesday the 23rd in LaHarpe at the local Senior Citizen Center! We carved turkey, served mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, cranberries, stuffing, gravy, rolls and the most beautiful freshly baked pumpkin pies. Many of the ladies at the Senior Center are also volunteers for LaHarpe Davier and we appreciate all of their support. Staff from the nursing home that day included Teresa Nelson, Stacy Fisher, Kassie Courson and Athena Brooks. Carl from the Senior Center said “The food was wonderful and it was so nice of the nursing home ladies to come do this for us today.” Athena Brooks, Administrator for the home said “We look forward to doing this every year! It’s a fun day filled with good food and great people. It’s nice to see everyone and hear about their plans for the upcoming holidays.” After lunch was served, several people stayed to play cards and visit. It was an enjoyable day and a nice start to the holiday season.
