This is the 2nd year in a row that LaHarpe Davier HCC has held a Wreath Auction to benefit St. Judes Children’s Hospital. The auction took place on November 30th at 5:30pm. Wreaths were handed out to local businesses in the surrounding area. Each business was responsible of decorating their wreath however they chose. Each wreath was displayed so that our guests could view them easily. The afternoon of the auction, our residents were able to view the wreaths and vote on them in different categories. The winners were announced that evening during the auction. We not only had beautiful wreaths, but a wide range of delicious soups were served as well. Before the auction started Lisa Ferguson who is a volunteer at LaHarpe Davier played the piano for everyone while they finished eating and exchanged conversation. Rodney Cratsenberg was our auctioneer of the evening as he was in the past year. We had approximately 26?? wreaths to auction and each and every one of them looked stunning! Staff, residents and guests all had a terrific time and look forward to seeing Santa at the facility on December 22. All proceeds from the auction were donated to St. Judes.
