Residents at LaHarpe Davier Health Care Center have been working hard stuffing trick or treat bags filled with candy. Everyone pitched in to help fill the bags with a variety of candy. Our devoted staff donates the candy for the residents. This is something that we do every year here at the facility and the residents enjoy it very much. On Halloween we celebrated by having a party in the afternoon. Tables were decorated with orange tablecloths and had spider webs filled with spiders and mice. Bats were hung from the ceiling and caution tape was put on doors. We served cupcakes which were donated by a very dedicated volunteer, Jim Walker, and we also enjoyed some punch from the dietary department. We listened to Halloween music and played a very slimy game. Residents had to fish out several Halloween creatures from a bucket of slimy spaghetti noodles. This was a game that almost everyone wanted a part of! The residents had a blast digging in the noodles. On Halloween night we had several trick or treaters come to the facility. Residents and staff helped hand out candy. We had another fun filled Halloween at LaHarpe Davier Health Care Center.

On October 25th, Arcola Health Care Center recognized the Dietary staff on behalf of National Healthcare Food Service Week. All the staffs’ years of service combined total 45 years to Arcola Health Care!
Annual Fall Festival
AHCC hosts 2nd Annual Fall Festival
Arcola Health Care Center held their 2nd Annual Fall Festival on October 30th. New to this year’s festival was Wetse the Clown and was well received by everyone. Children enjoyed games, pumpkin painting, petting zoo and hay rides. The Arcola Fire Department was present with one fire truck for children to enjoy as well. Thanks to everyone who came out and enjoyed the afternoon with us! We would also like to thank our volunteers, Arcola Fire Department and The Great Pumpkin Patch.
Shelbyville Halloween
Shelbyville Rehabilitation & Health Care Center
A Halloween party was held on October 31st, at Shelbyville Rehab & Health Care Center. Snacks and punched were served and enjoyed by everyone. Staff members and a couple of residents dressed up for the occassion. We had Ethel Mertz, a witch, an angel, an alien, a mideval witch, and a queen of flames. Prizes were given for best, worst and most creative costumes. On this date we also had a chili cookoff. Residents and staff voted on the best one, and the prize went to Connie Vincent, Social Services/Admissions Coordinator.

Monday Oct. 31st the Staff and Resident’s dressed up and had a spooktacular time, they enjoyed a costume parade, scary music, and treats with mystery punch. The Resident’s are ready for the trick or treaters!
