Vandalia Rehabilitation & Health Care Center joined the American Heart Association in promoting awareness of women’s heart disease. Every year in February the American Heart Association holds a day dedicated to women’s health called Go Red for Women. Vandalia Rehabilitation & Health Care Center staff and residents donated money for wearing red to be donated to AHA, as well as, took a group picture and posted it on the facility facebook page to promote awareness. Vandalia Rehabilitation & Health Care Center staff member Debra Hughes provided information to the Senior Center in Vandalia and many local businesses. Women’s hear disease is the #1 killer of American women, more women than men die each year from heart disease.
If your business would like to get more information and join Vandalia Rehabilitation & Health Care Center next year in getting the work out to the public on the #1 killer, go to website www.GORedForWomen.org/WearRedDay or call Michelle Blain, Administrator @ 618-283-4262.
