Monmouth, Il- In celebration of national Supportive Living Week, Legacy Estates hosted many events throughout the week of April 25th, 2016. This year’s theme, “Keep Moving” was their inspiration for the weeks’ events such as Pace Class hosted by the YMCA, Scavenger Hunts, Daily Stretch and a Walking Club and Foot Clinic with OSF Holy Family. To finish up this nationally recognized week, the staff of Legacy Estates of Monmouth hosted their annual FREE community wide taco bar complete with all of the fixin’s, silent auction, and 50/50 raffle. All proceeds from this event were donated to “Chloe’s Promise Foundation” at St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and to their tenant Activity Program.
“Every year we enjoy hosting this event. It is just our way of giving back to our community and to say ‘thank you’ for all of their support year round. As always, you can look forward to this event at Legacy Estates next year during Supportive Living Week. We were very excited to add in the Silent Auction this year and are thankful to the community for helping us raise over $1100 to be split between St. Jude’s and our very active Resident Activity Fund. We like to take a lot of fun trips during the summer and this will go a long way for us,” stated Brandi Adams, Director.
The staff at Legacy Estates of Monmouth would like to express their gratitude to everyone who participated in the events throughout the week and to those who donated items to their silent auction.
