Peoria, IL – Petersen Health Care officials today announced a cash donation benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The $5,100.00 donation was raised by employees of RehabCare and presented to Petersen Health Care officials at their Peoria, IL Corporate Headquarters.
Jill Wunderlich, Area Manager for RehabCare stated “We know St. Jude is very near and dear to the hearts of the Petersen Health Care family and we wanted to show our support for our valued health care partners at Petersen Health Care.” Petersen Health Care employees have donated tens of thousands of dollars to St. Jude over the last several years as well as thousands of dollars of computers, toys, videos, and games.
Petersen Health Care’s commitment to St Jude began several years ago, prompted by the true story of the battle fought by Chloe Petersen, the daughter of Mark and Vicki Petersen, owners of Petersen Health Care. “The fantastic people at St. Jude were wonderful to our family during Chloe’s successful battle. For our partners at RehabCare to join together with PHC and do something nice for St. Jude gives me a great sense of pride” stated Mark Petersen.
Petersen Health Care currently owns and operates Skilled Nursing facilities, Assisted/Independent Living Centers, Supportive Living Facilities & Developmentally Disabled Group Homes in Illinois, Iowa, Indiana and Missouri. The Peoria-based company is an active supporter of each of the communities in which they serve.
