Prairie Rose Health Care Center is pleased to announce our new Medical Director Dr. Shabaz Mohammad Begum. Dr. Mohammad is a family practice specialist with the Community Medical Clinics in Pana and Assumption. He attended and graduated from medical school in 2016 and completed his residency in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. “I am very pleased to be working with the great team of caregivers at Prairie Rose Health Care Center. I look forward to getting to know each resident that lives there and meeting new guests as they come in for short term rehab to home services” said Dr. Mohammad.
Ashlie Schmitz, Administrator shares “Our medical director has the important role of coordinating the medical care in our home and providing clinical oversight on resident care. Dr. Mohammad will be an important part of our Interdisciplinary Team at our 4 star rated home. Our goal is to provide compassionate, quality care to all who call PRHCC their home, whether that be for our short term Pathways Program, long term care or for specialized memory care”.
“Our home was so fortunate to have Dr. Virgil Dycoco as our medical director for so many years. He is very much missed by our residents, caregivers and families. We are very pleased that Dr. Shabaz Mohammad Begum has agreed to join our team as the medical director and look forward to working as closely with him as we have with Dr. Dycoco” shared Ashlie Schmitz, Administrator.
