Family night was held on St. Patrick’s Day at the LaHarpe Davier Health Care Center. An Irish dinner was served which included corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, creamed onions, rolls and the most delicious brownie with green homemade icing. Our dietary staff worked extremely hard on preparing this Irish dinner for our residents, staff, families and community. All our staff members always work hard to prepare for our family nights and it is well worth it. The food was delicious and the guests were wonderful. Lisa Ferguson graced us with her beautiful piano playing that evening and did a terrific job. We held a canned food drive and also a 50/50 drawing. All canned goods were donated to the Food Pantry at the LaHarpe Christian Church. Our winner of the 50/50 drawing donated the money back, which was also donated to the pantry. The Health Care Center was decorated for St. Patrick’s Day and everyone wore green! It was a great time and everyone enjoyed themselves. We cannot wait until our next big event on April 9 from 11-2:00, which will be our Open House with over 30 antique cars and Elvis. Bring your lawn chair.
