El Paso Health Care Center
On November 20th, 2014 El Paso Health Care Center hosted its annual Thanksgiving feast for all residents and their families. There were 150 people in attendance for this grand event. The night started off with Kristyn Durre Community Relations Coordinator welcoming everyone out to the facility and introducing the staff. One of the residents gave the blessing over the meal. The residents put on a Thanksgiving skit. Everyone enjoyed Turkey, Dressing, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Green Bean Casserole, and a hot roll. The dessert was pumpkin or apple pie. The night was filled with good food and fellowship.

Flanagan Rehabilitation & Health Care Center
On September 7th 2014 Flanagan Rehabilitation and Health Care Center held its annual St. Jude Spaghetti luncheon. Over 180 meals were served by Kathy Schopp and her Dietary Department. Area businesses donated items to be raffled off and all money raised went to St. Jude Children’s Home In Peoria. The event was a huge success. There was also a bake sale with all sorts of delicious baked goods donated by staff. We raised over $1800 for St. Jude Children’s Home In Peoria.
St. Jude Spaghetti Luncheon
Flanagan Cornell High School performed at Flanagan Rehabilitation and Health Care Center on December 16th 2014. This group also came to sing on December at the Community Luncheon for the entertainment for the community. This group consists of Sophmores,Juniors and Seniors and is directed by David Young the Choral director. Wassail and bread pudding was made by Kathy Schopp and the Dietary Department for everyone to enjoy while watching the performance.

On December 4th 2014, Petersen Health Care held their 18th Annual Awards Banquet in Sullivan, Illinois. Petersen Health Care currently owns 93 homes in Illinois, Iowa and Missouri including Rehabilitation and Health Care facilities, Behavioral Health homes, Assisted Living/Independent living complexes. The corporate headquarters is located in Peoria, Illinois. Below is Kathy Schopp, left, was awarded Food Service Director Of The Year. Kristyn Durre, right was awarded Community Relations Coordinator of The Year. The two ladies have worked at the facility for 57 years combined. Kristyn was also recognized for Outstanding Public Relations and the facility was recognized for their successful St. Jude fundraiser. We raised over $1800 for St. Jude Children’s Home In Peoria.
