Courtyard Estates of Bushnell recently hosted their second “Fish Fry”. The event offered dine-in, as well as carry-out, and FREE delivery service. The meal included fried catfish, homemade potato salad, baked beans, roll/butter & drink- all for only $6.00. The fry was held to honor all the quick response and awesome service from the Bushnell Fire & Rescue Squad. Courtyard provided a free dinner to each of the volunteers from the Bushnell Response team, to thank them for their service to our community. The proceeds from the “Fish Fry” were divided equally between the Bushnell Fire & Rescue Squad and the Bushnell Recreation & Cultural Center. We were happy to raise almost $450.00 for each group.
Our staff presented Chief Brent Glisan and Jeff Rench with their check this past week. The check presentation to the Recreation Center will be held at a later date. We appreciate and would like to thank the community for their support of our many events.
El Paso Health Care Center Easter Egg Hunt

El Paso Healthcare hosted an annual Easter Egg Hunt at the facility on Good Friday March 29th from 130-3. The weather was beautiful and the kids from all over enjoyed face painting, coloring eggs, hunting eggs, winning prizes, participating in a coloring contest, a visit by the Easter Bunny and much much more. The kids enjoyed all sorts of Easter goodies and drinks. This was a free community event to say Thank you for the support of Petersen Healthcare.
Polo 3rd Annual Golf Outing

Spring is in the air, and golf season is on the horizon. The staff at Polo Rehab is hard at work planning the 3rd Annual St. Jude’s golf outing, which will take place Saturday June 8th, at Silver Ridge Golf course in Oregon. There will be 18 holes of golf, 50/50 raffle, live and silent auction, and so much more! Please come out for a great day of golf and a wonderful cause.
Chloe’s Promise was founded to help support the needs of the patients at St. Jude’s Midwest Affiliate in Peoria. “Chloe’s Promise” is in honor of the Owner of Petersen Healthcare Mark Petersen’s daughter, Chloe.

La Harpe Davier Health Care Center Winter Wind Up
Despite all the snow we are getting Winter is soon to be just a memory. While Winter was leaving its chill in our bones we were creating some fun and exciting memories here at La Harpe Davier Health Care Center.
In November we celebrated our Thanksgiving with some wonderful food and family visits.
December found us having cookies with Santa and opening presents with residents and staff. Again we were treated with fabulous food prepared by our staff and wonderful treats shared with us by various visitors.
January and another New Year!! Who new there would be so many changes in store for us. Athena Brooks accepted the position of Administrator at one of our sister facilities so we had a wonderful Going Away party to wish her the best in her new adventure. Stacy Fisher accepted the position as Administrator here in La Harpe and Angie Rodeffer became out new Business Office Manager.
We have almost closed the door on February but not before we had a Super Bowl Party and A Valentine’s Day Party. We named Don Stevens our Valentine’s Day King and Helen Gibb our Valentine’s Day Queen and enjoyed wonderful cup cakes prepared by our kitchen staff.
March brings us St. Patrick’s Day and our St. Patrick’s Day Dinner which will be held March 13, 2013 at 5pm. We invite the community to join us for a wonderful meal of Corned Beef and Cabbage and live entertainment by Joyful Sounds. Hope to see you here.
