Petersen Health Care has announced the company will be rolling out Memory Care Programming in 2015. The Peoria based healthcare provider will begin implementing memory care for seniors within their Assisted Living Division beginning in March 2015 at their Courtyard Estates in Bushnell, IL.

Betty’s Garden, a secure and designated area within Courtyard Estates communities will provide “Coming Home,” Petersen Health Care’s individualized Memory Care Program. This will be a pleasing, yet active area, with continual mind stimulation as part of the programming. With safety features in place for the tenants’ protection, every Betty’s Garden will feature an open floor plan, designed to encourage interaction and independence. This will provide each tenant the freedom to move around, interact and enjoy each day, all under the supervision of a trained coordinator.
“Coming Home” was designed exclusively for individuals with Alzheimer’s or related dementia’s, and will be a welcome answer for tenants and families alike. Coming Home is a comprehensive enrichment program designed specifically for Betty’s Garden. It is designed to ensure an all-encompassing, fulfilling experience for every tenant. It will foster daily interaction with residents of Betty’s Garden in the areas of: Creative/Expressive, Physical, Social, Cognitive, and Emotional/Spiritual. The programming will include industry leading software that will enable tenants to participate in activities they enjoy while providing them with engaging activities based on each tenants unique personality.
